Project Scope
- This is NPI Program to provide complete design of packaging for LMT Trolley
Assist for 2 programs - The trolley assist system utilizes an overloaded contact line (DC supply) to
propel the vehicle under load-haul conditions within a mining facility. To
mitigate current fluctuations from the trolley, it is essential to incorporate
inductors and contactors for protection within the enclosures. Additionally,
the design must include appropriate brackets and covers
Business Challenges
- Accommodate the space constraints with inductor and contactor along
with bus bar routing. - Match the length and reduce the part number of bus bars which reduce the
cost
ARi’s Solutions
- Provide conceptual model creation for each cover, base structure,
enclosures, etc. - While freeze the model and plan to run CFD simulation to check air flow for
overheat areas, based on the quality of model increased - Use built in quality method approach freeze the issues in design phase itself
- We detailed drawing nearly 300-400 drawings and got a good appreciation
for individuals

- Communize the design of busbars to reduce the part numbers for two
variants, created concepts, detail designs and overcome technical
challenges involved - Sharing the ideas based on feedback of CFD simulation, structure update
work - Provided the best routing path of bus bars to inductors and contactor and
