LMT – Test Harness Design and Manufacturing Support
Home Case Studies LMT – Test Harness Design and Manufacturing Support
Project Scope
The electronics and electrical components of the large mining trucks (LMT) are integrated within the machine, working in coordination with the mechanical parts to ensure seamless operation. Therefore, it is crucial to thoroughly test and validate these components before the LMT trucks are deployed on the road.
Business Challenges
- The analogue signals,
- Pump Outlet Pressure Sensor
- Oil Temperature Sensor
- Filter Switch
- Bypass Solenoid
- Wheel speed sensor RH, LH -These signals could be active while machine
is running
ARi’s Solutions
- Our objective is to establish a connection (Bridge) between the LMT and the
VMC (Virtual Testing Machine). All signals must be transmitted to the VMC
using harnesses - We have incorporated these signals in a Differential Box.
- These signals are extended from Transmission > Diff box outside > Diff box
inside harnesses
ARi’s Value Proposition
- We categorized the harnesses according to the component location area on
the Two machine. - The harnesses are listed as follows:
- Harness-A, B, C, D, CE, Transmission, Front Light, Rear Light, Diff Box
Inside, Diff Box Outside
- Harness-A, B, C, D, CE, Transmission, Front Light, Rear Light, Diff Box
- Within harnesses A, B, and C, D, CE the primary chassis signals can be
extended to VMC through the end connectors. The VMC will simulate the
analogue signals and test them under the most challenging working
conditions of the components
