Project Scope


  • Hands on wheel system determines whether the occupant is the touching

    the steering wheel using capacitive sensing technology. Not only will this

    system perform capacitive sensing on the steering wheel, but it will also

    control an LED light bar to indicate the driver the state of the vehicle

  • Sensing functionality is achieved with an ASIC sending a sensing signal to

    sensor and measures the current from sensor to ground

  • Heating functionality can be controlled manually with heater switch or over

    LIN command

  • Design and architecture of Diagnostics, LIN implementation
