Evaluation of Broken and Whiteness

Project Scope

Evaluate the size and quality of rice by detecting broken grains and measuring their whiteness.

Business Challenges

Manually checking rice can be time-consuming and not practical for large-scale operations, making it difficult to maintain quality control. Manual inspection often leads to variability.

ARi’s Solutions

Implement a solution in C++ using OpenCV to calculate the shine, smoothness, and whiteness of rice grains from image data, and transmit these computed values to the front-end for display.

ARi’s Value Proposition

  • The same system can be utilized to assess the quality of various rice

    varieties

  • With the automation of manual inspection, the time required to process rice

    has been significantly reduced
