Driver Monitoring System

Project Scope

  • Aims to determine driver attention while in control of the vehicle during

    manual and autonomous driving

  • AUTOSAR based Project

  • Design architecture accommodates multiple processors

  • VIOP: SPC584Cx

  • SOC: OmniVision Cortex®A9 core

ARi’s Solutions

VIOP – Master

  • External hardware control (Enable power supplies, Monitoring Power

Supplies and Controlling LED’s) & Diagnostics

  • Communicates over SPI with the SoC

  • Communicates with the vehicle using CAN-FD

  • Communicates to the camera (serializer, imager) and deserializer over

    I2C

SOC – Slave

  • The SoC processes video image data to determine driver attention state

  • Capture Image

  • Process Image

  • Send Driver Attention State & Image Diagnostics details to VIOP over SPI

ARi’s Value Proposition

VIOP Application

  • Configure BSW Modules

  • Develop SWC’s (Software Components)

  • Develop CDD’s for PWM, DMA, I2C, SPI & ADC
