Project Scope

Develop a standalone assembly station to streamline the process of assembling a PTO pump on a gearbox. The station will assist the operator in tasks like transferring the gearbox, removing covers, applying sealant, and testing the assembled unit. Key expectations include improved ergonomics, reduced cycle time, and enhanced quality.

Business Challenges

Manual process was slow, labour-intensive, and posed ergonomic risks.

ARi’s Solutions

  • Incorporated a manipulator arm for ergonomic gearbox handling and positioning

  • Integrated a precision sealant dispensing system for controlled and consistent application

  • Implemented a dedicated fixture for accurate PTO pump assembly and testing

  • Utilized PLC and HMI for process control, data logging, and operator guidance

  • Enhanced operator safety with interlocks and ergonomic workstation design

ARi’s Value Proposition

  • Reduced cycle time and labour costs
