Hardware & Software Design

Project Scope

  • The project involves design and development of hardware and software for

Automotive door sensor based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

  • The primary focus is on ensuring effective battery life and reliable sensor

    functionality in this wireless approach

Business Challenges

Determine the most efficient BLE communication approach with a battery lifetime of at least two years using a coin battery (CR2032).

ARi’s Solutions

  • End-to-end product Designed, developed, and manufactured the hardware,

software, and mechanical package for the sensor and main controller

  • Utilized Broadcast, Notification, and Indication BLE methodologies to

monitor power consumption on the door sensor and calculate an estimate

    of battery lifetime

ARi’s Value Proposition

  • Provided the battery voltage/current measurements and battery life

    calculations

  • Software source code provided, Hardware schematics, and mechanical

    case drawings
